" The Sports Memories Challenge Invitational" extended an invitation to Carl Blando (Manual52) to join a group of Paseo alumni for dining and memories of past friendships and sporting events (both real and imagined). Carl is one time Royals and retired baseball talent scout . As the evening went along the stories from the past became larger than life and Dave Herron & Don Boresow began to gang up on Carl about Manual, Carl being a professional judge of talent saw that he had been ambushed but held his own. The group adjourned to the Boresow's for dessert where the conversation heated up again and Bill Ross retired NFL official had to step in and eject Herron & Boresow and called the game for to many illegal Globetrotter moves and everyone went away over "desserted" and agreed to continue the great debate another time. Carl went in search of support and recruited Chuck Loomis (Manual), Al & Dale Maddox ( Northeast) Kenny Monaco (De LaSalle), Bob Gunter & Dick Burns (Westport) while Herron & Boresow have fortified themselves with Joe Crouthers ( Paseo) & Tom Masterson ( Central) for the November & December gatherings. This makes for a more balanced conversation and everyone is still going away from Harriet & Don's over "desserted".
